"What a partnership this has been. Marion and I have made, unmade, and remade each other over a period of 53 years, and the remaking goes on and on."
Marion Woodman was honored by the Pacifica Graduate Institute with a tribute February 17-19, 2006. On the second day of the tribute, her husband Ross Woodman, an English professor and force of nature unto himself, gave a stirring and deeply personal account of their long life together. From their first date in a Canadian soda fountain on through Marion's health battles and career accomplishments, Ross delves into Marion's motivations, frustrations, and inspirations. In Ross's words, "Marion has been a very dedicated Jungian analyst who has acted as the midwife in bringing thousands of souls to birth, and I have been an offstage witness to that process." Anyone interested in the story behind the story of the woman who brought the body into Jungian thought will appreciate Ross' insider's view.
